Sign off criteria - nursing

The NMC requires all student nurses to be supervised and assessed by a sign-off supervisor or assessor, who is suitably qualified, on their final management placement.

All sign-off supervisors or assessors must have completed further preparation for this role and been assessed, undertaking three assessments with a management nursing student. Two of these assessments can be simulation. The final assessment must be with a third management nursing student.
