You'll benefit from award-wining facilities at ARU, the result of £95m of investment over five years.
Thanks to this investment we have:
We also opened a brand-new university in Peterborough in September 2022. ARU Peterborough offers a range of courses that have been developed with input from regional businesses.
We're planning to invest £200m over the next ten years.
We'll be integrating the best digital learning options into all our courses. While this will enhance our students' learning experiences, it won't replace traditional face-to-face teaching. Our commitment to that – and to contact time with your lecturers – is unwavering.
We'll be looking outside of the classroom too, investing in a range of activities to make your university experience the best it can be, and boost your employability.
Our facilities range from medical science SuperLabs, a financial trading room and fully-equipped TV studios, to engineering labs, computer gaming suites, mock law courts and paramedic skills labs. Cambridge School of Art is a work of art in itself: a red-brick Victorian building chock-full of art, design, photography and printmaking studios.
Our library and IT facilities are also second to none: you can access our vast online collection 24/7, and you'll have Office 365, Microsoft Teams and Adobe Photoshop CS6 as standard. Students on creative courses have use of Adobe Creative Cloud software.
Everyone can use and enjoy shared spaces like the renowned Ruskin Gallery, which stages free exhibitions throughout the year; our campus gyms in Cambridge and Chelmsford; and the University Eye Clinic, where our optometry students learn under the guidance of qualified professionals.
