International Orientation Programme January 2023

Each year the International Office organises an International Orientation Programme to welcome our new international students. This year we will be returning to a face to face, in-person International Orientation Programme supported by online sessions.

This two-day programme in Cambridge and Chelmsford will take place on 10 January, just before your Faculty welcome on 11-13 January.

The International Orientation Programme is now full. We aren’t accepting any new bookings but if you would like to join our waiting list please email [email protected] with your name, Student ID number, campus and course.

What does the International Orientation Programme include?

The International Orientation Programme helps students moving to the UK make a successful start to their university life.

There are a range of sessions on offer including:

  • studying in the UK - the academic system at ARU
  • working and health entitlements
  • find a part-time job
  • opening a UK bank account
  • food and shopping
  • UK culture and customs
  • sport and social facilities
