What might a creative future look like? Our Discover Cambridge School of Art Taster Day is the perfect opportunity to explore what life at art school is really like.
This hands-on day is designed to inspire, inform, and ignite your students’ creativity. They’ll get the chance to try out different disciplines, meet current students and tutors, and experience the atmosphere of a vibrant, working art school.
From sketching in the studio to experimenting with materials and digital tools, they'll take part in practical workshops that reflect the kinds of projects they’ll explore on a real course as well as thinking about what creativity means. At KS5, they’ll also get insights into building a strong portfolio, applying to creative courses, and what a career in the creative industries could look like.

As the landscape evolves, the event will also explore how emerging technologies- particularly AI- are reshaping creative roles, opening new opportunities while redefining traditional practices. Whether you're interested in art & design, media, performance, or digital innovation, this event will help you better understand the future of creative work. Join us to gain practical advice, ask questions, and discover how you can carve out your own path in an ever-changing creative economy.
Film and Media Taster Day
Our Film and Media Taster Day is designed for students who want to explore what goes into creating films, binge-worthy series, documentaries, or content on platforms like TikTok or YouTube. Our Film & Media Taster Day is a hands-on experience which will give your students insight into creative industry careers and what it’s like to study Film and Media through a combination of theoretical and practical sessions. They'll get to explore our state-of-the-art facilities and get insight into Uni life from our current students.
Graduate Showcase
Join us for our Graduate Showcase. Your students will be inspired by what they’ll be able to achieve by the end of a creative degree as well as gaining insight into the outcomes of specific subjects. Covering work from Fashion to Film, Graphics to Games, Animation to Art and everything in between, there’s lots to explore. They can also chat to some of our graduating students and find out more about the opportunities higher education has to offer.
Performing Arts Taster Day
Whether your students are budding actors, dancers, singers, or all three, our Performance Taster Day is the perfect opportunity to explore how a Performance degree can help shape a future for stage, screen or behind the scenes as well as developing transferable skills.
Your students will get to experience what university training is really like in our professional standard facilities including our 260-seater Mumford Theatre. They’ll be guided by our expert team in workshop sessions, get advice on how to prepare the best audition, find out more about the industry as well as meeting current students to get insight into uni life.
