You’ll examine how international and national legal systems respond to environmental harm and promote sustainable development. On this course, you’ll look closely at the intersection of law, environmental justice, sustainability agendas, human rights, economic policy, global trade, and governance. You’ll consider the causes of, and possible solutions to environmental inequality.
Our interactive seminars, workshops, and case-based discussions offer you the opportunity to critically engage with current environmental and sustainability issues in collaboration with your peers.
You’ll complete your Master’s with a Postgraduate Major Project – a substantial research project focussed on a relevant topic that interests you.

Get hands-on experience at our Cambridge Law Clinic, where you can volunteer to help members of the public. If you choose to study on campus, you’ll have access to Cambridge’s Squire Law Library.
