Alumni Scholarship
If you’ve already completed a degree at ARU and want to study a postgraduate course, this scholarship is for you.
The Alumni Scholarship is a fee discount. We’ll deduct it from your tuition fees.
Value
There are two scholarships available:
- 20% off your fees if you achieved a 2:2 or above, and are applying for a postgraduate taught degree
- or a £400 discount if you're applying for a postgraduate research degree
Duration
The scholarship is awarded in the first year of the postgraduate taught or research degree (full-time) or across both years (part-time).
Eligibility
You should have completed one of the following:
- Full honours degree (BA/BSc, BEng, BOptom)
- Full Masters degree (MA/MSc, MEng)
- Postgraduate Certificate (PG Cert)
- Postgraduate Diploma (PG Dip)
You must be:
- an ARU alumnus
- starting a new postgraduate taught or research award (in the first semester of study), either full-time or part-time
- starting your course in the 2025-26 academic year
- from the UK or an EU/EEA student who remains eligible for student finance. International students should see our International Alumni Scholarship.
There's no time limit on when you completed your ARU award. Your award can be from predecessor institutions, or an ARU-validated degree at one of our partner institutions.
This scholarship is not available for:
- degree apprenticeship or distance learning courses
- applicants who are receiving fee discounts from external agencies such as HEE, GMC or NMC
- MA Social Work students who receive the fee contribution from NHS Social Work Bursaries.
How to apply
There's no need to apply. You'll automatically be assessed for our Alumni Scholarship as part of your application.
We’ll let you know if you’re eligible when we send you a conditional offer.
