Volunteering

Volunteering is your chance to get involved and give something back to your community. It can also help you explore career options. You'll be able to talk about your experiences on your CV and in interviews.

At ARU, there are plenty of ways to get involved:

• work on real-life projects that make a social impact through Students at the Heart of Knowledge Exchange (SHoKE)
• connect with voluntary organisations via Handshake (ARU login required)
• become a Students’ Union Rep or Officer, working with students and staff across ARU
• join one of 100+ societies, or even start your own. Choose from stand-up comedy, cheerleading, vegan, K Pop, LGBTQ+ and many more
• law students can volunteer to work on real cases in our Law Clinics.
