Bring your school, college, or sixth form to an immersive taster day at ARU. Explore career paths and spark a passion for further and higher education.

Specially designed for schools and colleges, a campus Taster Day supports high‑quality careers education by giving students meaningful, first‑hand insight into a subject area. Engagement with academic staff, university students, learning environments and progression pathways helps students make informed and realistic choices, building confidence, motivation and readiness for successful progression into higher education. Group bookings are welcome and Taster Days are free to attend.

Our Subject Taster Days are aimed predominantly at mainstream schools/colleges.

Individuals can also book, but the booking must be completed by teachers or advisers from the school, college or sixth form, on behalf of an individual student.

Most subject taster days last approximately 4.5 hours. They're tailored to explore specific subjects in-depth, offering a unique blend of hands-on activity and immersive learning experience. Timings for each day may vary slightly and we'll share them with you after you book.
