In your final year at ARU, you’ll prepare for the transition to foundation trainee, developing leadership, prescribing, consultation and workplace skills and building a professional portfolio to demonstrate your readiness for practice.
Build your understanding of medicines, healthcare and the role of the pharmacist.
You’ll explore everything from pharmaceutical chemistry, drug development and clinical therapeutics to pharmacy law, ethics, public health and medicines optimisation.
You’ll put your learning into practice through simulations, case-based activities and placements, developing your ability to communicate with patients, assess their needs and make evidence-based decisions.
As you progress, you’ll work with increasingly complex patient cases and develop the clinical reasoning, consultation and professional skills needed for contemporary pharmacy practice.
