At ARU I’ve had incredible work experience offers and – to cap it off – I’ve advanced to winning stages of national law competitions.

While building your legal knowledge, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to gain practical experience.

You can gain valuable experience in our law clinics, and benefit from our mentoring and undergraduate researcher schemes. You can additionally practise your skills in our mock court rooms and by taking part in national competitions such as Mooting with our student Law Society. We’ll also help you find and secure work placements and internships.

Graduation doesn’t need to be the end of your time with us. You might decide to stay at ARU and study for a Masters, such as our LLM International Business and Commercial Law. Take advantage of our Alumni Scholarship and get 20% off your fees.

Teaching and modules

You’ll start by learning the fundamentals of the law and legal systems of the United Kingdom.

You’ll also develop skills in fact handling, case reading, research, and more, which you’ll draw on throughout your degree and subsequent career.

In years 2 and 3, as well as continuing to develop your essential legal knowledge and skills, you’ll choose from a range of optional modules depending on your individual interests and aspirations.

Finally, you’ll complete a major project on a relevant topic of your choice, demonstrating your research, evaluation, and communication skills.

Modules are subject to change and availability, and may vary by location. If you have the choice of optional modules, these are indicated with a *.
