If you’re a UK-based social worker, this part-time course will prepare you to become an accredited practice educator.
You’ll explore theories around teaching, and support a qualifying student social worker in their placement. You’ll also take responsibility for a teaching, learning and assessment task with a second learner.
During your studies, you’ll explore learning environments that embrace diversity and demonstrate anti-oppressive, anti-discriminatory and anti-racist practice.

Graduate as an accredited PEPS 2 practice educator, qualified to assess student social workers.
You’ll be able to assess students who are on Stage 1 (70-day initial placement) or Stage 2 placements (100-day final placement).

As a PG Cert student, you'll complete three core modules. These include two Practice Educator Professional Standards (PEPS) that are aligned with British Association of Social Workers (BASW) guidance and Values statements.
The third module, Into ARU, is specially designed to ease your transition into (or return to) higher education.
