Delivered primarily online through flexible, asynchronous learning, this course allows you to study without interrupting your career. With no scheduled lectures, you can fit your studies around your clinical commitments while learning alongside a community of specialist surgeons.
The course includes a single on-campus OSCE, to support hands-on assessment of clinical and procedural competencies.

Designed for surgeons at ST5 level and above, this Master of Surgery degree will strengthen your understanding of breast disease, oncoplastic breast cancer surgery and breast reconstruction.
You'll build the expertise to make evidence-based clinical decisions, plan complex surgery, manage complications and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

As part of an online learning community, you’ll discuss challenging clinical cases with experienced peers and academics, gaining valuable perspectives from different healthcare settings while developing your own reflective practice.
Throughout the course you’ll critically evaluate current evidence, clinical guidelines and complex case scenarios, strengthening your decision-making across the patient pathway.
In Year 2 you can choose one of two optional modules: Clinical Leadership and Management, or Applied Clinical Research. You'll also complete a supervised major project in your own organisation.
