Whether or not you have prior working experience in economics, international trade and business, this course will help you to excel in an international trade and business context. You’ll draw on analysis of global political economy, organisational studies, international marketing and brand management and management of finance.
Learn to conduct international market research, to undertake risk analysis, utilise web and social media to heighten the effectiveness of the marketing tools in the global marketplace and reflect critically on strategic and organisational issues. You’ll also learn how to apply economic theory in the management decision process.

You’ll study core modules that range from principles of economics through to contemporary issues in international management.
You’ll appraise management issues including developing international lenses of reference; delve into international marketing, brand management and financial decision making and consider a conceptual and analytical framework for organisations operating in capital, financial and operational markets.
Your Postgraduate Major Project is a chance to explore a specific subject in depth. You’ll be supervised by a member of academic staff, receiving support so you can work independently, conduct research, and produce a coherent solution to the problem(s) you identified.

You can choose to study with us over two years (full-time), and take Professional Experience modules in Year 2, with a Preparation for Professional Experience module in Year 1.
Professional Experience modules are a great way to learn more about an industry. They take place in Year 2 of your course, with each module lasting approximately 12 weeks (or one trimester).
You can choose which modules to take. Options include project work on campus, and industry placements. Our Placements Team is here to help you secure a placement.
Throughout the course, we’ll asses your progress through a range of written assignments, portfolio and presentations and you’ll have the option to carry out both group and individual work.
