This course equips you to work in fintech, as well as more traditional finance jobs.
You’ll gain a theoretical understanding of finance, financial markets, investment, and the latest trends in the financial world. You’ll also develop practical skills in financial modelling, data analysis, coding, critical analysis, decision-making, problem-solving, report-writing, and communication.

You'll study a range of topics including finance, fintech, data analytics, innovation management, corporate governance, and sustainability, helping you see the big picture – whether that's of different functions within your own organisation, or trends in the global marketplace.
You’ll top off your Master’s with your Postgraduate Major Project. Supervised by one of our expert academics, you’ll use suitable research methods to propose solutions to one or more problems in a relevant area of your choice.

Year 1
Analytics Essentials: Transforming Business with Big Data
You can choose to study with us over two years (full-time), and take Professional Experience modules in Year 2, with a Preparation for Professional Experience module in Year 1. You'll complete your Postgraduate Major Project in Year 2.
Professional Experience modules are a great way to learn more about an industry. They take place in Year 2 of your course, with each module lasting approximately 12 weeks (or one trimester).
You can choose which modules to take. Options include project work on campus, and industry placements. Our Placements Team is here to help you secure a placement.
We'll assess your work in a variety of ways, including group presentations, reports, application of digital skills, and dissertation. There is a strong focus on real-life authentic assessments to develop your workplace skills and competencies.
