If you're a problem solver with natural empathy and a fascination with the human body, this is the course for you. It’s been designed by physiotherapists for physiotherapists.
Physiotherapists help restore movement and function when someone is affected by injury, illness or disability. They do this through exercise and movement, education and advice.
Designed for life sciences and allied health graduates, this is a practical course. You’ll gain clinical experience and learn to recognise and manage different health conditions. When you graduate, you’ll be ready to work as a physiotherapist in the UK.

As a graduate, you’ll be eligible to register with the Health and Care Professions Council* and work as a physiotherapist in the UK.

Get the academic knowledge and practical skills you need to work as a physiotherapist.
After an introduction to physiotherapy, you’ll start to prepare for your first placement. Placements continue throughout the course. Through them, and university study, you’ll learn to assess and manage musculoskeletal and neurological conditions.
Over time, your learning extends to the management of cardiorespiratory, vascular and mental health conditions.
You’ll also explore health service provision an consider how it could be improved, as you prepare for your future as a physiotherapist.

Learn in specialist facilities and out on placement.
Your clinical training takes place in a dedicated skills lab, a Biomechanical Laboratory and the Anatomy Suite at our School of Medicine in Chelmsford.
While on placement, you may gain experience in NHS hospitals, community services, and private practices.
