Here at ARU we offer a number of hybrid courses. Hybrid means you'll study on campus for part of your course, and learn from another location(s) the rest of the time.

You’ll get full support throughout your course.
If you're studying a health and social care course that includes placements, your time will be divided between university study and supervised placements. At university, you’ll attend lectures with your course mates, use facilities such as clinical skills labs, and have direct contact with your tutors.
If you're studying another subject, you'll use our learning management system, Canvas. Through Canvas you can access study resources and take part in online workshops. Our tutors are on hand to offer advice and regular feedback. And, if you live close to one of our campuses, you're welcome to use the libraries and facilities.

If you're studying a health and social care course that includes placements, your time is divided about equally between university study and supervised placements.
If you're studying another subject, time spent on campus varies. You might, for example, join us once a term for residential workshops or study days.

With health and social care courses you'll be based at one campus. You can choose which one when you apply.
Other courses may be based at one campus – Cambridge, Chelmsford, Peterborough or Writtle – or offer a choice.
