Science and engineering facilities

We're home to a range of cutting-edge facilities, including a brand-new Science Centre, psychology labs, and advanced engineering and manufacturing workshops.

In Cambridge, our Science Centre opened its doors in 2018. The £45 million building is home to students and researchers in psychology, animal biology, biomedical science and forensics. It features a range of labs and teaching spaces – plus an eye-catching piece of public art on its external walls.

In our Science Centre you'll find a suite of psychology labs, including EEG, perception, social behaviour and neuroscience labs.

Meanwhile, our engineering and manufacturing students in Chelmsford have access to specialist engineering workshops, electronics and microelectronics labs, a concrete lab, industry-standard software, and 3D printing facilities.
