You’ve finally made the decision. You know you can do this. You’re just working out where and when and then words like modules, trimesters and accelerated start flying at you.

Here’s our no-nonsense guide to accelerated degrees:

1. What even is an accelerated degree?

Simple version: it’s a full three-year degree… done in two years. Yep, same qualification, just faster. Fast lane to your new career.

2. How does an accelerated degree actually work?

Here’s where the term trimester comes in. It just means the academic year is split into three chunks:

  • Trimester 1: September – December
  • Trimester 2: January – April
  • Trimester 3: May – August

On a standard three-year degree, you’d study during the first two and have the third off. On an accelerated degree, you study all three.

3. But do you even get a break?!

Yes—you still get your winter and spring holidays. The only difference? Instead of a long summer break from May to August, you’ll just have August off. A whole month to breathe, reset, enjoy the sunshine and chill with family and friends.

4. Is it intense? Absolutely. Worth it? 100%.

Here’s why our students choose an accelerated degree:

  • You start your new life sooner. You're doing this for a reason—let’s get you qualified and where you want to be.
  • It shows determination and drive. Future employers notice the drive it takes to juggle study, family, and life and still smash it. You’re showing you’re committed and goal driven.
  • You could save up to £5,000. No small one this - with one less year of fees and living costs, that’s a serious financial win.

5. Who is it for?

If you’re future focused and committed then it’s for you.
