Re-Shape-Land-Scape

Dance theatre performance

Re-Shape Land-Scape is a dance theatre work emerging from the international practice research project Re-Shaping Landscapes. The performance investigates how bodies inhabit landscapes that are disappearing, transforming, or under pressure from climate change. Through choreography, movement, and embodied storytelling, the work explores ecological interdependence across geographically dispersed locations.

Performance highlights

Winner: Keep it Fringe Award, Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2025

Drawing on site-specific research conducted in Norfolk (UK), Kyrenia (Cyprus), and Hong Kong (China), the project develops a shared movement vocabulary that responds to the environmental histories, vulnerabilities, and futures of each landscape. The performance invites audiences to consider landscapes not as passive settings, but as living entities with which we are entangled.

Grounded in posthumanist and ecological thought, Re-Shape-Land-Scape offers an embodied approach to environmental awareness and collective action, positioning movement as a catalyst for reimagining human–landscape relationships in the Anthropocene.
