You’ll cover all the important aspects of business and management, including organisational structures, objectives, and performance, to enable you to add value quickly in a variety of business and managerial roles.
You’ll explore the strategic importance of human resource and people management, as well as contemporary issues such as globalisation, sustainability, entrepreneurship and innovation, social responsibility, diversity, ethics, and risk management.
You’ll also become adept at using communication and information technology effectively for business and able to apply a commercial mindset to sustainable business practices.

Graduation doesn’t need to be the end of your time with us as you might decide to stay on and complete a postgraduate course. You could study for a Masters degree such as the MSc International Business Management or MSc Supply Chain Management at ARU Peterborough.

Teaching and modules
Build a wide portfolio of interpersonal abilities such as effective listening, negotiating, persuasion and presentation, alongside team building skills. You’ll have the opportunity to present work individually and in groups in various formats and to a variety of audiences.
Work in a team and solve business problems and deliver on live briefs from employers, applying theoretical concepts to practice in the professional environment. You’ll also experience hands-on learning as we bring the workplace to the classroom, allowing you to learn from industry professionals and discover the trials and tribulations of the professional business environment.
You’ll engage in a substantial piece of research and/or product development work and can study from a range of optional modules, depending on your interests.

A foundation year prepares you for the rest of your course, and focuses on general skills such as researching and referencing, numeracy and ICT, and communication. We'll also start to look at some more subject-specific topics.
All assessments are designed to allow you to demonstrate your learning, and to make sure you’re developing the abilities and skills you need to complete the course. We’ll assess your knowledge and understanding using a variety of assessment methods, including business plans, marketing evaluations and reflective reports.

An update on tuition fees for 2026-27
The fee of £9,535 quoted for UK students starting in 2026-27 is an indicative fee based on the current maximum regulated tuition fee for the 2025-26 academic year.
The University’s policy is to charge the maximum regulated tuition fee as set by the Government. The Government has advised that the regulated fee cap for full-time undergraduate courses taught in the 2026-27 academic year will be increasing in line with inflation.
The exact amount of the maximum regulated tuition fee set by the Government hasn’t been confirmed yet.
We expect confirmation of this in the coming weeks at which point the fee for the 2026-27 academic year will be updated.
Paying your tuition fees If you're a UK student, you don't need the money to pay for university now.
If you accept an offer to study at university, you can apply for a Tuition Fee Loan to cover your course fees.
Both full-time and part-time students can apply for a Tuition Fee Loan. You'll start repaying the loan in the April after you graduate.
