Introduction
Get the skills you need to work as a professional dog groomer, along with insights into the industry and business practices, with our Level 3 Diploma at Writtle College.
If you're looking to follow a career in dog grooming and have some previous experience, our Level 3 Diploma is for you. As well as classroom study, you'll get hands-on in our campus dog-grooming parlour, which is open to the public.
We offer separate courses for 16-18 year olds, and students aged 19+. You'll study the same topics and complete a work placement as part of your course:
- if you're aged 16-18, you'll go on placement two days per week
- if you're aged 19+, you'l go on placement one day per week.

Hands-on learning
As a student at Writtle College you’ll take part in practical session in our dog grooming parlour, which is open to the public. It’s part of our dedicated Lordship Canine Centre and includes kennel space, grooming tables, a bathing area and preparatory spaces.
