The Edge: ARU's Entrepreneurship Sprint

A logo for "The Edge"

Six weeks. One real idea. Built by you.

What is The Edge?

The Edge is ARU's competitive entrepreneurship sprint. Over six weeks you'll move from spotting a real problem to building a prototype, testing it with real people, and pitching it live; without lectures, without grades, and without needing a business idea to begin. It's not a course, it's a doing experience.

How it works

Six weekly missions, each building on the last: Problem Hunter → Idea Builder → Prototype Builder → User Testing → Pitch Prep → Showcase.

You'll work at your own pace through the Canvas platform, with mentor drop-ins and live check ins available throughout.

What you gain

  • A real prototype or early-stage idea, built by you
  • Practical entrepreneurial skills: problem spotting, user research, prototyping, pitching
  • The Edge Certificate of Completion. A recognised credential for your CV and LinkedIn profile
  • Access to ARU's wider startup ecosystem including #ThinkBigARU and mentorship opportunities

Who is it for?

Any ARU student. You do not need a business idea, a technical background, or prior experience. You need curiosity and the willingness to finish what you start.
