Reach for the Stars is a literacy-focused programme for Year 5 students who meet one or more of our outreach criteria. It combines in-school sessions with an on-campus visit, supported by a dedicated handbook that guides students throughout their experience.
Through exploring the lives of influential figures, students develop key reading skills such as fluency, retrieval, and inference, while making connections to their own goals and ambitions. The programme also introduces students to future education pathways, helping to build confidence and raise aspirations.
Schools interested in participating must have an FSM student population above 25.7%, and all participating students must be in Year 5.
