Paul is particularly interested in social work education, systemic practice, services to children and their families, leadership and management, innovative strengths based practice and is curious about how we could do things very differently.

Background

Paul qualified as a Social Worker in 1989 and has practiced in this capacity ever since. He has held a number of roles including Social Worker (Generic & Children’s), First, Second and Third line Manager as well as being a Senior Manager. Paul has latterly led the Social Care Learning & Development team within a shared service agreement for two local authorities. Paul joined Anglia Ruskin in September 2018 and teaches on both the BA and the MA Social Work courses. 

Teaching

Paul teaches across both the undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Social Work. He brings considerable practitioner knowledge and experience to the subject.
