Harry is an experienced community optometry having worked in multiple and independent opticians, now working in hospital optometry alongside his role at ARU. He is a member of the College of Optometrists and one of the growing number of independent prescribing optometrists.

Background

Harry started his optometry career as an optical assistant at his local Specsavers on weekends whilst studying for his GCSEs. He completed his optometry degree, with Anglia Ruskin University, in 2015 and completing the College of Optometrists scheme for registration in 2016. He continued with Specsavers in Cambridge for 9 years, becoming the principal optometrist for the practice where he remained until joining ARU. Further to this, he is a member of Faculty at the Johnson and Johnson institute, Wokingham, UK, a Specialist Optometrist at Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge, UK and owns his own optical consultancy and equipment business.
