Futures by Design is a fully funded European Interreg project, working with SMEs in six partner regions across the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Sweden and the United Kingdom. In Cambridgeshire, the partner is ARU.
SMEs are critical to regional economics but their capacity for success, growth and sometimes survival, can be limited by insufficient access to data and the inability to analyse data to drive innovation, and access to finance, customers and suppliers, all necessary elements for success.
The aims of the project are:
Futures By Design will also create a HSKT hub connecting the experience and information across the six partner regions to support sustainable SME growth, innovation and productivity. Futures By Design can support up to 50 SMEs in each partner region, offering them access to a bank of data analysis tools and one to one support from the local teams.
Any SME, including sole traders, within the Greater Cambridge area is eligible for this support programme. After joining, at no cost, the company will be taken through a quick assessment of its data needs used to better identify how they could benefit from Futures By Design tools. Work with the SMEs will be both webinars and one to one support to use the needed data tools. Being fully funded there is no financial contribution from the business.
