Course: MSc Animal Behaviour: Applications for Conservation

Hi, my name is Alicia and I am from Spain. I am an MSc student of Animal Behaviour: Applications for Conservation at ARU in Cambridge, and I started my amazing postgraduate journey in September 2024.

My background is in biology, and when I finished my undergraduate degree I knew that I wanted to work in conservation, but specialising in behaviour as well, therefore this Master's was exactly what I was looking for.

From the start of the course, I have felt a lot of support from different services in the university and my lecturers, who have helped me feel part of the university, even as an international student. I also love that during the Master's I could learn different practical skills that can help me in the future, and there are also many opportunities to attend seminars and other events related to my interests.

From a young age I have been passionate about animals and nature, so during my time at ARU I became part of the committee of the Sustainability Society. Other activities that I love doing in my free time to balance university life are sports, such as climbing, aerial acrobatics and hiking.
