It seems like only yesterday that I was writing the first ever edition of our Employability Service blog and now, in what feels like the blink of an eye, the end of the trimester is nearly upon us!
So much has happened - as well as our blog (which we hope you like), we also launched our new look Career Centre including the fantastic new CV360 feature which has already been used almost 800 times.
We introduced our Be Your Best series of self-development workshops as well as Career Pulse, which helps you track your confidence in a number of key employability areas and provides you with a personalised development plan. Now is a great a great chance to start planning your future by taking your Career Pulse!
We also recruited some fabulous Student Employability Activators who have been getting out and about, promoting events and giving us your perspective on what you really value and would like to help you progress your career ideas. If you haven’t heard from them already, you will be sure to see them (virtually or face-to-face) next year, so please say 'hi' and share any ideas you have with them.
With so much going on, time can slip by without us realising and the things we really wanted to do often get forgotten. Use the Action Plan feature on the Career Centre to set yourself some goals and add reminders so that you get alerts when they are due. Also, book yourself onto the range of self-development and employer facing events in trimester 2 to help you get ahead and stand out from the crowd.
We are currently working on the full list of events for trimester 2 so check out our Events page for events in January and get booking!
For now though, I wish you all the very best for the last weeks of this trimester, hope you have an enjoyable Christmas break and look forward to seeing you all in 2020!
