Our mission
The Centre for Innovation in Higher Education (CIHE) is a place where our community (academic and/or professional services staff, and postgraduate research/taught students) can exchange ideas, provide support for each other, and build a pedagogic research community.
CIHE supports, promotes and champions inclusive and innovative and transformative pedagogies, pedagogic research, and strategic investigations and impact evaluations of learning, teaching and assessment (LTA) aligned with University LTA strategies and initiatives.
Our aims
- We will build a strong Pedagogic Research (Ped Res) community of practice for ARU and beyond.
- We will work on Ped Res projects that align with ARU's Education and Research & Innovation (R&I) strategies.
- We will build networks based on our key strategic LTA interests.
- We will capture and share the significance and impact of our Ped Res work within the university and the larger community, to achieve institutional visibility and sector recognition.
- We will provide expertise in, and support for impact evaluation.
- We will organise different events and activities, including the international Ped Res conference.
