About us

The Centre of Innovation in Higher Education (CIHE) was established in 2023 as part of Anglia Learning and Teaching. CIHE drives research-informed innovations in learning, teaching and assessment to improve student outcomes. We create and contribute to pedagogic research and scholarship across ARU, and beyond.

  • Elena Benini: Elena is currently a PhD student in the Department of Psychology and Cognitive Science at the University of Trento. She is enrolled in the national doctoral programme LEDIEL (Leadership, Empowerment, and Digital Innovation in Education and Learning). Her research focus is on evaluating the impact of faculty development initiatives at the University of Trento with particular engagement in the activities of FormID, the university’s Teaching and Learning Centre.

Governance

Strategic leadership of the CIHE is overseen by the Pro Vice-Chancellor (PVC) (Education Enhancement), the Head of Anglia Learning & Teaching, and the Director of the CIHE.

The CIHE Steering Group is made up of ARU's PVC (Education Enhancement) (Chair); Director of the CIHE; Head of Anglia Learning & Teaching; Deputy Dean (Research & Innovation); Deputy Dean (Education); Dean of Doctoral School; Faculty Director of Research and Innovation; Faculty Director of Learning, Teaching, and Assessment; Impact and Evaluation Analyst; and an external member.
