Roshan is an international student from India who believes that growth comes from saying yes to opportunities and stepping outside of his comfort zone. Since moving to the UK, he has made it his mission to embrace new experiences, challenge himself, and make a meaningful impact wherever he can.
Roshan’s leadership journey within Anglia Ruskin Students' Union began as the Welfare and Liberation Officer, where he championed student wellbeing, equality, diversity, inclusion, and the voices of underrepresented communities. That experience strengthened Roshan’s passion for advocacy and gave him the opportunity to work closely with students to create positive change. Building on that foundation, he was later elected as the President of the Students' Union, where he now represents the student body, leading strategic initiatives, and works collaboratively with students, staff, and stakeholders to enhance the overall student experience.
Alongside student leadership, Roshan has a strong passion for the creative arts. Roshan is a dancer and actor and has been involved in a number of performances and short films. Through these experiences, he has developed confidence, creativity, adaptability, and a love for storytelling and connecting with people from diverse backgrounds.
As an international student, Roshan understands both the opportunities and challenges that come with studying abroad. This perspective has shaped his commitment to creating inclusive communities where everyone feels represented, supported, and empowered to succeed. Whether through leadership, campaigning, public speaking, performance, or community engagement, Roshan strives to bring energy, authenticity, and purpose to everything he does.
