Rohan is the President of ARU Students' Union, where he represents the diverse student body across five campuses.
As a Board Trustee and Company Director, he plays a key role in the strategic leadership and governance of the Union. His responsibilities span overseeing financial management, risk assessment, and ensuring compliance with charity law and governance regulations.
Rohan’s experience in student advocacy is complemented by a strong background in change management and senior leadership. He has contributed to the transformation of ARU Students' Union, collaborating on reforms such as Bye-laws changes, enhancing democratic structures, and promoting a student-led model. He has also worked on high-impact initiatives like national lobbying for renters’ rights and developing community engagement, including strategic partnerships with organisations like ACORN.
In addition to his leadership in the student sector, Rohan has practical experience in governance, finance, and enterprise accounting. He has worked with RM plc (India) in enterprise accounting, gaining expertise in cash management and financial oversight. Rohan is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Anglia Ruskin University, expanding his knowledge in business strategy and management.
Passionate about mental health, student voice, and inclusivity, Rohan is dedicated to creating environments where students’ needs are prioritised and their voices heard at every level of decision-making.
