Early payment discount

An Early Payment Discount of £1,000 is available to new international students starting a full time taught undergraduate or postgraduate course if tuition fees are paid in full by the Friday before the start of teaching. For 2024/5 starters, this discount can be combined with other scholarships.

An Early Payment Discount of £400 is available current international undergraduate students who are returning for their second (Level 5) or third (Level 6) taught year at ARU, excluding placement years.

Yes, you can. You can make payments for tuition fees and accommodation instalments via International Bank Transfer with Flywire, a specialist payment platform.

Yes, a minimum of £4,000 is required to receive an unconditional offer or Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS). Your exact deposit requirement will be stated clearly on your offer letter.

Alternatively, if you’re a sponsored student, you’ll be required to upload a copy of your official letter of sponsorship/financial guarantee.

Details of how to pay your deposit will be included with your offer letter. You'll need to log into your applicant portal on e:Vision to make your deposit payment.

We recommend that all students use our University’s online payments system online payments system to make a payment to us with a debit or credit card.

Alternatively, you can pay via International Bank Transfer with Flywire, a specialist international payment platform.

If you’re not able to pay online, details of how to pay by bank-to-bank transfer will be included in your offer letter.

We do not accept cash as payment for tuition fees or accommodation.

Requests for refunds of any deposit paid will be administered in accordance with our fees policy which can be located in the Rules, Regulations and Procedures for Students and a refund of a deposit where applicable may not be given in the event of a refusal of a visa application should Anglia Ruskin University not be at fault, including if the refund arises from you giving false or incomplete information to the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI).

After you have paid your deposit, you can decide to pay the rest of your annual tuition fee in full, or you can pay in instalments.

You may be eligible for an early payment discount if you choose to pay your full annual tuition fee.

If you choose to pay your tuition fees in instalments, you’ll pay a minimum of £4,000 as a deposit, then instalments as follows.

  • Students starting in September: 60% of the full fees at registration, a further 40% in January.
  • Students starting in January: 60% of the full fees at registration, a further 40% in May.
  • Students starting in May: 60% of the full fees at registration, a further 40% in September.

If you choose to pay your tuition fees in instalments, the payment will be taken from your account automatically on the 15th of the appropriate month.

Note that if you don't pay your fees by the agreed dates, you may not be able to continue your studies or graduate.
