Industry-standard equipment

Our sport and exercise science laboratories, which feature the latest equipment, will help you put what you’ve learnt to the test.

At ARU, we're proud to be ranked fourth in the country for sports science courses in The Guardian League Table 2023.

As a student here, you'll get hands-on experience in our Cambridge Centre for Sports and Exercise Science. You'll also be able to work with our Exercise Testing Consultancy team, gaining experience of testing athletes and members of the public.

If you already have an undergraduate degree and want to develop your expertise further, we offer a choice of Masters degrees and a PhD programme.

Our highly experienced staff include practising sport therapists, coaches and conditioning specialists – as well as professional athletes.

With expert teaching, accredited courses and first-class facilities, you can be sure you'll graduate with the skills and knowledge employers look for.

Cambridge Centre for Sport and Exercise Sciences

At ARU you’ll be based in our Cambridge Centre for Sport and Exercise Science:

  • study in specialist exercise testing and human movement labs, accredited by the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES)
  • work alongside our professional Exercise Testing Consultancy team
  • get hands-on experience with internships and placements
  • join an array of sports clubs and societies.
