Overview

Our course will give you all you need to know about tracheostomies, through Interactive lectures, small group workshops and high fidelity simulation.

The course features:

  • interprofessional learning in our high-fidelity simulation suite
  • rehearse your clinical skills as part of the multiprofessional team, with feedback in a supportive learning environment
  • tracheostomy emergencies
  • National Tracheostomy Safety Project algorithms and techniques
  • Emergency Cricothyroidotomy and Surgical Airway

Suitable for:

  • ENT/Maxfax nurses
  • anaesthetists/intensivists
  • operating department practitioners (ODPs)

Course Director: Dr Natasha Lawrence, Consultant in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care, Mid Essex Hospital Services, NHS Trust.

TracheTIPS is approved by the Royal College of Anaesthetists for five CPD credits

Who should attend?

ODPs, Nurses, Health Education East of England (HEEoE) ST 3-7 and ICM anaesthetic trainees.
