Boost your skills and knowledge of solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT) techniques with our three-day, advanced-level workshop in Chelmsford. Ideal for mental health practitioners with experience of using SFBT.
Our workshop will enhance your knowledge of the philosophy behind solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), and its use in a variety of mental health settings. It's a practical introduction to SFBT drawing on research, theory and clinical scenarios brought by the group.
We’ll explore SFBT as a supervision and learning model, working through scenarios from your own clinical experience, and examining issues from contemporary practice. We'll use facilitated and group discussions, and role play to do this.
Content
Our workshop will cover:
- the philosophical and linguistic influences on current SFBT practice
- your own experiences of clinical work with SFBT and clinical supervision
- advanced techniques, Ericksonian question styles and the development of a wider toolbox
- similarities and differences between SFBT and other clinical approaches
- SFBT as a medium to deliver client-centred and recovery-based care in a variety of complex settings.

This workshop has been designed for practitioners from a variety of clinical settings, who use solution-focused brief therapy in their day-to-day work.
If you're not already familiar with the approach and have not already completed an equivalent course, we recommend that you take our entry-level Solution Focused Brief Therapy Workshop first.
