This apprenticeship develops confident practitioners to deliver effective sustainability strategies at work and benefits from professional recognition from the Institute of Sustainability & Environmental Professionals (ISEP).

Apprentices gain the knowledge, skills and behaviours to be the social and environmental conscience of their organisation, empowered to innovate and drive social and environmental change. You’ll gain a CertHE with no tuition fees, studying via a flexible online delivery model while you work.

For employers it’s a cost-effective way to grow and retain CR&S talent and expertise in your organisation, enabling you to retain talent or attract new recruits. Reinvest the Levy to cover cost of training or get government funding support.

Your apprentice will learn to research, implement, and evaluate CR&S initiatives that align you’re your organisation’s goals.

This apprenticeship fosters applied learning and professional practice. It’ll provide your apprentice with the skills to influence ethical decision-making, foster stakeholder engagement, and drive continuous improvement in sustainability performance across a range of sectors.

Entry requirements

Employers set out the person specifications for the role, but apprentices will need to meet our entry requirements to be accepted onto this course. 

  • A completed Skills Scan and Initial Assessment discussion.
  • At least a Level 2 qualification in English (or equivalent). You must also meet the age-related English and Maths requirements set by the Department for Education (DfE).*

*All applicants must meet the eligibility criteria outlined by the DfE Apprenticeship Funding Rules applicable at the start of the course. If you have any questions about these entry requirements, please contact [email protected].

Fees and funding

Degree apprenticeships are a smart investment. You can reinvest Levy funds to cover the cost of an apprenticeship or receive funding support from the Government.

If you operate in England and your annual payroll is over £3m, you pay a levy of 0.5% of your payroll into a levy account.

Apprenticeships are paid for by your employer. You won’t pay any tuition fees on this course.
