Accredited by RICS
The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) is the world's leading professional body for qualifications and standards in land, property, infrastructure and construction. The RICS accreditation is a recognised qualification and a benchmark of professional competence.
The course is delivered over 5 years and 8 months for the End Point Assessment. There is scope to complete sooner if the apprentice is capable.
All apprenticeships have been assigned a minimum requirement of off-the-job-training (OTJT) hours to comply with the Funding Rules. Your account manager will advise you on how these OTJT hours are planned. This means that your apprentice will be learning during normal working hours either in their place of work or outside – but not part of their normal working duties.
Your apprentice’s off-the-job learning combines online sessions with face-to-face teaching blocks from our academic team. This mix of learning styles creates a supportive, collaborative experience. It's further enhanced by online discussions, student blogs and guided reflection. Day release sessions take place during term time at our Chelmsford campus.
Throughout the apprenticeship, your apprentice will complete assessments at the end of each module. These count towards their final qualification.
Once they’ve passed all on-programme assessments, they’ll move on to the End Point Assessment (EPA). This is aligned with the RICS Assessment of Professional Competence (APC). It involves two years of supervised professional practice, followed by a final assessment. This final stage typically takes an extra 6-9 months to complete after the degree itself.

An apprenticeship is a job with training, combining practical experience with academic learning.
All apprenticeships have been assigned a minimum requirement of off-the-job-training (OTJT) hours to comply with the Funding Rules. We will advise you and your employer on how these OTJT hours are planned. This is time to develop the knowledge and skills needed to meet the requirements of the apprenticeship. So, it is not part of your usual work duties.
The off-the-job learning will be delivered through online University-led learning sessions and activities, one-day workshops, and practical learning experiences in your usual work setting. The one-day workshops are delivered on a day release basis at our Chelmsford campus.
We will assess you at the end of each module. These on-programme assessments count towards your final qualification.
