Introduction to Floristry - Award in Creative Craft

Introduction

Learn about the design of floral arrangements at Writtle College. If you’re looking to learn a new skill, or simply enjoy a fun activity with friends, this course could be for you.

Specially designed for beginners, the course explores Easter and Spring-themed floral designs.

You don’t need any previous experience of floristry to take part. Our friendly and experienced team will guide you to create your own floral masterpieces.

We make use of seasonal flowers and foliage, and discuss flower care advice. At the end of each session, you can take your arrangement home to enjoy.

The course fee includes all materials, including flowers, foliage and sundries.

Course dates and times: Wednesdays (three hours), from 29 April 2026 – 10 June 2026.

Hands-on learning

Study on our rural campus in Writtle, and use our purpose-built floristry building featuring four workshop areas and a range of seasonal plants and foliage.

Careers

Having successfully completed this course, you’ll be ready to progress to a higher qualification such as our Level 1 Award in Creative Craft (Floristry).
