Studying conservation and wildlife at Writtle College

On this exciting course, you’ll learn about sustaining and protecting the natural environment for future generations and turn your passion for our planet into a career.

You’ll be based on our rural campus that’s home to more than 200 animal species including reptiles, birds and mammals. You can work with these animals during your course. We make full use of our outdoor learning spaces, and you’ll find hedgerows, grassland, rivers, woodland and farmland habitats to explore.

During the course, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of a range of topics including the machinery used in the land and wildlife industry, habitats, species identification and surveying, and environmental conservation, developing the skills and knowledge to find meaningful employment.
