If you’re passionate about the countryside and looking for a career in the outdoors, our Level 2 Technical Certificate in Conservation and Wildlife is for you.
On this exciting course, you’ll learn about sustaining and protecting the natural environment for future generations and turn your passion for our planet into a career.
You’ll be based on our rural campus that’s home to more than 200 animal species including reptiles, birds and mammals. You can work with these animals during your course. We make full use of our outdoor learning spaces, and you’ll find hedgerows, grassland, rivers, woodland and farmland habitats to explore.
During the course, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of a range of topics including the machinery used in the land and wildlife industry, habitats, species identification and surveying, and environmental conservation, developing the skills and knowledge to find meaningful employment.

After successfully completing this course, you could further your education by studying a Level 3 Advanced Technical Diploma in Conservation and Wildlife Management.
Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications can ultimately provide a route into employment in areas such as conservation, animal management or environmental management. You could find yourself working for employers such as country parks, wildlife trusts or charities.
