This Level 3 Advanced Technical Diploma is ideal if you’re looking to work in agriculture and want to learn more about all aspects of the industry. You do not need to have previous experience of farming.

Hands-on learning

As an agricultural student at Writtle College you'll:

  • work extensively with livestock throughout your studies

Level 3 qualifications can provide a route into the agricultural profession, support career development if you’re already working in agriculture, or be a foundation for further learning or training.

After completing this course, you could further your education by studying our Level 3 Advanced Technical Extended Diploma in Agriculture. This includes a 300-hour work placement in the industry. Or you might move into employment in roles including:

  • Assistant herdsperson/stockperson
  • Agricultural technician
  • Apprentice in a farm business
  • Calf or stock rearer
  • Assistant machinery operator.
