Sport activators

Sport Activators are students at ARU who have an interest in sport. Our activators engage other students and motivate them to be more active.

We know that sustained activity has a positive impact on physical and mental wellbeing, both now and in the future – so our activators have a really valuable role.

As part of our Campus Sport programme, sport activators promote, plan and deliver safe, fun, engaging and inclusive activities. They are based in Cambridge, Chelmsford, Peterborough and Writtle, and have a genuine desire to make a true difference to students at ARU.

We are always looking to recruit enthusiastic and motivated students who would relish the opportunity to be a sport activators. Activators do not need to be part of a sports club, nor do they need to be particularly talented at sport, they just need to be committed and interested in sport.

Water Sport Activator

We are also seeking enthusiastic Water Sport Activators to plan and deliver engaging, safe, and enjoyable water-based activity and open water swimming sessions at the Writtle Lake as part of Team ARU Campus Sport Programme.

This role is ideal for someone with a genuine passion for water sports and a desire to encourage participation in a fun, friendly and inclusive environment. Previous water sports qualifications are not essential, as full training will be provided.
