Brains Eden, the UK's largest student gaming festival held annually at Anglia Ruskin University, is back for its seventh year.

Date: 4-7 July 2014
Venue: Anglia Ruskin University, East Road, Cambridge campus (various locations)

Brains Eden Gaming Festival is an epic celebration of young games creators and the world-leading games studios based here in Cambridgeshire. Brains Eden 2014 will continue the tradition of drawing in cutting-edge industry expertise, talented academics, universities from all over the globe and 150 young games creators.

Proudly hosted every year at ARU, the event could not take place without the ongoing commitment and support from Anglia Ruskin's Cultures of the Digital Economy (CoDE) research institute. Creative Front works closely with CoDE's network of academics who innovate across disciplinary boundaries and form a catalyst for establishing connections with industry and local, national and international communities.

Director of CoDE, Dr Rob Toulson, said:

"The Brains Eden event is completely unique and offers many valuable benefits to all those involved. The gaming festival represents a fantastic example of collaborations across boundaries that are very rarely bridged successfully. For instance we see artists, story tellers, game designers, programmers, music composers, computer scientists and graphic designers all bringing their skills together to develop a single functional output. Furthermore, the festival enables real connections in linking students and academics with industry and professional developers. Brains Eden is arts-tech collaboration at its finest!"
