Coach Academy

Our Coach Academy provides current students with the opportunity to develop their coaching skills, gain valuable practical experience and work towards a recognised coaching qualification alongside their studies.

If you're selected for Coach Academy, you'll be supported to develop your coaching within one of our targeted sports clubs – Archery, Badminton, Football or Rowing – through a combination of formal coaching education, practical coaching opportunities and mentoring from our Sports Club Development Officer.

As part of the Coach Academy, you'll receive financial support towards gaining a National Governing Body coaching qualification, alongside opportunities to gain hands-on coaching experience within our university sports clubs and develop your wider leadership, communication and employability skills.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain a recognised qualification, build practical coaching experience and develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to support future career opportunities within sport and beyond.
