A note on replicates

  • Our saliva assays are routinely tested in ELISA assay duplicate.
  • Extraction from hair samples is routinely performed as single sample. The extracted sample is assayed in ELISA duplicate.
  • On request we can perform extraction from a hair sample in duplicate, each of the two resulting samples are then assayed in duplicate (giving a total of four reads/original sample).
  • We also offer duplicate extraction in 10% of the study samples which many clients find a cost-effective control.
