Tracey is an experienced paediatric A&E nurse, working within the NHS for 8 years, with 2 years spent nursing in a secure adolescent mental health unit.

Background

Tracey qualified as a Children’s nurse in 2015 and worked for 5 years in a paediatric A&E, within a general hospital. There she consolidated her A&E skills which included applying plaster casts, venepuncture and cannulation, echocardiograms and triage skills. She then went on to take an interest in eating disorders and took on a ward manager role within a secure unit.

More recently, Tracey as been a senior member of the A&E team at her local general hospital, where she managed the unit (whilst on shift) and continued to expand her knowledge within this speciality. Tracey will continue to work in A&E alongside her current role as a Lecturer Practitioner.
