Rosie Eacott

PhD Researcher

Rosie is a PhD researcher focussing on older populations and climate related health impacts. She is also qualified as a UKCP Accredited Psychotherapist, having obtained her MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy. She completed her first degree in Environmental Science and has worked in various industries within the public and private sectors.

Background

Rosie joined ARU in 2024, initially as a Research Assistant, and then as a PhD Researcher under the Vice Chancellor's Scholarship 'Mitigating climate related health risks to enable ‘place-based’ wellbeing for ageing populations' in September 2024.

Rosie is a director of a small psychotherapy private practice working with adults, including offering eco-psychotherapy, which was the focus of her MSc dissertation. She has experience of working in a wide range of industries including both private and public sectors, and recently worked as a contractor for a global recruitment company in the education industry.

Her current research is located within the East of England, looking at how vulnerable older populations adapt to climate related health risks, adopting a community engagement perspective.
