Mike gained his MSc in Computer Based Learning from the Research and Graduate School of Education at the University of Southampton, and his PhD from Middlesex University.

Previously, he worked as an educational consultant and researcher for organisations such as the European Union, JISC, and national institutions in Eastern Europe, Japan, South East Asia and the Pacific. While his early work focused on evaluations of technology-enhanced learning, he later moved on to design and implement mid and large scale academic development projects within and between universities.

Currently, Mike is working on a research project with Uppsala University exploring doctoral students’ conceptions of university teaching.

  • The LGBTQ students’ experiences in higher education.
