Background

Qualified as a Registered Nurse in 2007, Mauricee worked in all medical surgical areas in the first few years of her nursing career and consequently discovered her passion in surgery. She then directed her path in the operating theatres where she worked as a Theatre Practitioner. Not long after, she stepped up as a Specialist Nurse Practitioner in Orthoplastic Surgery and qualified as an independent non-medical prescriber.

To further her professional development, she undertook the MSc in Surgical Care Practice at Anglia Ruskin University. She now works as a National Lead Surgical Care Practitioner leading the development of the Surgical Care Practitioner role in one of the biggest independent healthcare provider in the UK alongside her Lecturer Practitioner role in Anglia Ruskin University.
