Katrina is a respiratory scientist working directly with patients at Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and also teaching at ARU. She is also involved in strategic planning in healthcare science education both regionally and nationally.
Katrina is a Principal Clinical Physiologist and staff governor at Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Based in the Respiratory Physiology department, she is the lead for education and the clinical cardiopulmonary exercise service.
In addition to her clinical role Katrina teaches on our Healthcare Science course, specifically in the area of respiratory and sleep sciences. She also has a role in Health Education East of England as the lead for physiological sciences. Previously Scientific Director for the East of England, Katrina now has advisory roles in all aspects of healthcare science education, from entry-level training through to consultant.
Katrina teaches part-time at ARU (two days per week) on our BSc (Hons) in Healthcare Science, specialising in respiratory and sleep science. She's module leader for six modules on this course. She also teaches in other modules on the course including both science- and professional practice-based modules.
